Monitoring & oversight

The two things you own before a monitor arrives: every delegated person trained, and every site ready for its initiation or monitoring visit.

Your remit is training-readiness for monitoring — that each site’s delegated staff are trained and its file is current before the visit. The monitor (CRA) and their schedule are assigned by your sponsor/CRO; you prepare the site, you don’t staff the monitoring. Under ICH E6 risk-based monitoring, better-trained sites attract lighter oversight — so closing training gaps early is the surest way to reduce a site’s monitoring burden.

The same readiness gate your staff see, rolled up for you — each person who isn’t fully ready, what’s blocking them, and the one action that helps.
